Will The Square Enix and Marvel #TheAvenger’s Project Be A Money Draining Freemium Game?

By this point, I think we’ve all seen the trailer for the upcoming Marvel and Square Enix collaboration series of AAA games. Which, while very new, has struck me as nothing more but another attempt by Marvel to try and launch a game series with no major substance.

The trailer gives us almost nothing other than a hashtag and recycled images of Avengers’ weapons lying on piles of rubble. The Cap shield has been used multiple times, mostly in failed Marvel mobile titles  – Marvel War of Heroes used almost the exact same images, Marvel Heroes MMO‘s opening had Cap’s shield encased in ice as a major set piece, and its been used countless times in the comics. Rooster Teeth Announces New Gaming Division Alongside Battlesloths 2025 The Great Pizza Wars

Rooster Teeth, the company that has brought us such gems as Red vs Blue and RWBY just announced a new games division Rooster Teeth Games. The announcement comes on the heels their success with RWBY: Grimm EclipseGrimm Eclipse was a best-seller during its initial release on Steam back in the summer of 2016 and is currently a top-10 seller on both PS4 and Xbox One following its console release earlier this month.

Plumbing The Depths Of Madness With Call of Cthulhu

Cyanide Studios’ Call of Cthulhu will be the latest game to try and tackle the absurd horror of H. P. Lovecraft‘s most famous creation.

The new trailer takes a look at what happens to protagonist and PI Edward Pierce when confronted with a ton of Lovecraftian horror. Elder Scrolls Online coming to next gen consoles

Because the gaming industry loves nothing more than releasing games on every platform available, the Elder Scrolls Online game, which isn’t even out of beta yet, will be released on the Xbox One and PS4.
